⚛️ Chemical Injection & Advanced Oxidation System

Modular AOP Skid — 9 Selectable Oxidation Chemistries

Chemical Injection & Advanced Oxidation System 3D illustration

The WFS Chemical Injection & Oxidation System pairs a precision multi-chemical injection manifold with a reaction tank (CSTR or plug-flow) sized for the required contact time. The same platform supports nine selectable oxidation chemistries so the same skid can be redeployed as feed water changes — without re-engineering vessels or piping.

Each chemistry has a tailored dosing train (oxidant generator or skid, pH/ORP control loop, catalyst dosing where required, and post-reaction quench) wired back to a single PLC. Reaction tanks include high-shear inlet mixing, baffled compartments for staged residence time, and an off-gas vent routed to a scrubber or carbon polisher when required.

Typical targets include refractory COD, color, taste & odor, BTEX, phenols, sulfides, H₂S, ammonia (via breakpoint chlorination), cyanide, and recalcitrant organics that resist biological treatment.

Oxidation Chemistries

Select a configuration to view reaction mechanism, advantages, and target contaminants.

Fe(II)-catalyzed activation of hydrogen peroxide at acidic pH (typically pH 2.5–3.5) producing hydroxyl radicals (•OH) that non-selectively oxidize organics.

Reaction Mechanism
Fe²⁺ + H₂O₂ → Fe³⁺ + •OH + OH⁻ ; Fe³⁺ + H₂O₂ → Fe²⁺ + •OOH + H⁺
Advantages
  • · High •OH yield
  • · Low CAPEX
  • · Effective on refractory COD, phenols, dyes
Target Contaminants
